Mom's Mezcal Paloma

This is the Mother’s Day cocktail for Mom. It literally has her name on it. Need we say any more? A little bit salty, a little bit fruity, a little bit smoky, Mom’s Mezcal Paloma runs the full-flavored experience and has something for everyone. The punchy flavors of Lucy Pistolas Mezcal and Bittermilk’s Charred Grapefruit Tonic in this recipe make the best Mother’s Day gift.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. Lucy Pistolas Mezcal
- 2 oz. Charred Grapefruit Tonic with Bulls Bay Sea Salt
- 2 Grapefruit Wedges, for muddling
- 2 Lime Wedges, for muddling
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- 1 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- 1 Tbsp. Kosher Salt, for rim
- 1 Grapefruit Wheel, for garnish
Directions
- Rim your Coupe glass with grapefruit wedge, then dip in kosher salt
- Add mezcal, grapefruit wedges, lime wedges, and sugar to a cocktail shaker and muddle
- Add grapefruit juice
- Add ice to shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds
- Strain into rimmed glass
- Garnish with a grapefruit wheel
