We're always looking for ~new fashioned~ ways to drink whiskey, and we love this one from BalconesDistilling! Pairing their Baby Blue Corn Whisky with strawberry and rhubarb simple syrups is a delightfully summery way to sip on whiskey! Mix up your own Rhubarb Baby with the recipe below.
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Water
- 12 oz. Cut Strawberries & Rhubarb

2 oz. Baby Blue Corn Whisky
- 0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

0.25 oz. Simple Syrup
- 0.75 oz. Strawberry Rhubarb Simple Syrup
- Lime Wheel, for garnish

For the Syrup
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan
- Once boiling, add cut up fruit
- Stir constantly for 5-10 minutes and then allow to simmer for 10-15
- Remove from heat
- Strain into a glass container
- Store in fridge for up to 1 month

- hake all with Ice in shaker and serve over fresh ice
- Garnish with lime wheel and strawberry wedge
