Great song. Better Valentine’s Day cocktail. Unlike the song, this offering from Vitae Spirits isn’t a cold drink of water. It’s a bright spot of Modern Gin. But, this cocktail is definitely a sweet surprise. She’s My (Cherry Pie) is fragrant, ornate, and romantic. Master the details of this complex cocktail, and you’re Valentine’s date will be unlike any other.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Modern Gin
- 0.5 oz. Anisette
- 1 oz. Sour Cherry Nectar
- 0.5 oz. Oregat
- 0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- Set of 2 Angled Coupe Glasses
- Lime Wheel, for garnish
- 2 cups Toasted Almonds, chopped
- 1 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 1/4 cup Water
- 1 tsp. Orange Flower Water

For the Cocktail
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish!
For the Orgeat
- Bring water and sugar to a boil, turn heat down, add almonds
- Let simmer for 5 minutes, turn off heat, let steep for up to 8 hours
- Strain almonds out, stir in orange flower water
- Bottle and keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks!
