With the majority of Cinco de Mayo celebrations happening in America, the holiday has grown to become a celebration of Mexican-American culture. And that’s what Appalachian Gap Distillery encapsulates with their Cinco de Mayo cocktail, The Bashful Betty. The cocktail is made with their Papilio, an agave spirit that combines the best that Mexico has to offer with rich Vermont maple syrup. The result is a Cinco de Mayo recipe unlike any other.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Papilio Agave-Maple Spirit
- 1 oz. Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

0.5 oz. Natural Organic Simple Syrup
- Grapefruit Twist, for garnish
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake, strain
- Serve up or on the rocks with a grapefruit twist
- Enjoy!
