Founded in an old naval brig on Treasure Island, now located in the historic Butchertown district of San Francisco, Raff Distillerie honors the history of the city while taking the idea of handcrafted spirits to the next level.
Inspired by the endless potential of craft spirits, and their equally unique packaging, Carter Raff founded the distillery in 2011. His background in metal fabrication allowed him to build all of the stills and equipment that Raff Distillerie uses to make their craft spirits from scratch. Carter’s one-of-a-kind stills leave an unforgettable stamp on their products.
Raff Distillerie’s passion for history comes across in the stories of their craft spirits. Bummer & Lazarus Gin, a brandy-based, floral gin, is named for two legendary stray dogs from San Francisco in the 1880s. Honoring the absinthe tradition in Paris, Raff Distillerie imports wormwood from Pontarlier, France for its gentle Emperor Norton Absinthe. Their Barbary Coast Rhum is named for the lawless nine-block area from the Gold Rush era of the city.

1 oz. Gin
1 oz. Lemon Juice
1 oz. Lillet Blanc (Check out BigFish's craft spirit selection for possible substitutes!)
Shake with Ice. Strain into Glass. Garnish with Orange Peel. Enjoy!
1 oz. Absinthe
1 oz. Simple Syrup
1 oz. Water
2 tsp. Lemon Juice
Shake with ice. Strain into glass then garnish with lemon peel.
Bummers Pumpkin Sour
.75 oz. Lemon Juice
.75 oz. Pumpkin Syrup
1.5 oz. Gin
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Combine ingredients into a shaker and shake. Double strain into a coup. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg. ***To make pumpkin syrup: Combine 1 cup water, 1.5 cups sugar, and 1 cup pumpkin puree. Simmer for 10 minutes, strain and bottle. Enjoy!
