Founded by two friends from college, Roulaison Distilling Co. began production in November 2016 and focused exclusively on making an incredibly distinctive pot-distilled rum. They strive to strike a balance between their innovative ideas and a more historic approach to distilling than is commonplace today.
Their objective is to add more stylistic variety to the American-made rum category and make Louisiana known around the world for its fine rum. Roulaison's products are full of robust, funky complexity, crafted using local ingredients, and unhindered by chill-filtration, charcoal-filtration, or caramel coloring.

Classic Hurricane


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. lime juice
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 1.75 oz. passion fruit juice
  • 1/2 oz. O.P. Rum
  • 1/4 oz. Peychaud's Aperitivo
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 3 oz. Pineapple Juice

Bon Vivant


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Barrel Aged Reserve Rum
  • 1 oz. blanc vermouth
  • 1 oz. Campari
Directions:
Stir ingredients in mixing glass with ice; strain and serve up.

Cranhattan


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz coconut water
  • 1 oz Cocktail & Sons Spiced Demerara Syrup
  • 1.25 oz Barrel Aged Reserve Rum
  • 1.5 oz cranberry juice (not cranberry juice cocktail)
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Directions:
Stir in mixing glass with ice and serve up for a sweet treat with a strong punch or on the rocks for a mellowed down version

Hemingway Daiquiri


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
  • 0.25 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.50 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

Classic Daiquiri


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. Simple syrup
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz. Traditonal Pot Distilled Rum
Directions:
Shake over ice and strain. Serve up.

Honey, I'm Home


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz. Honey Syrup
  • 2 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
Directions:
Shake with ice, strain, and serve up.\n\nHoney Simple Syrup:\nAdd equal parts unfiltered Louisiana honey and water to a saucepan and heat until honey dissolves.

Keep it Simple, Keep it Local


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Cocktail & Sons Watermelon & Thai Basil syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 3 dashes El Guapo Polynesian Kiss bitters
Directions:
Combine all ingredients over ice. Shake and strain into coupe glass. Best served in a tropical setting.

Le Bohemien


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. Campari
  • 0.75 oz. Dolin Blanc Vermouth
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
  • 2 dashes El Guapo Love Potion No. 9 bitters
Directions:
Stir ingredients in mixing glass with ice. Strain into coupe glass or serve on the rocks.

Ron Collins


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
Directions:
Fill glass with ice and stir. Top with Fentimans Traditional Tonic Water.

Mind Your Elders


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. lime juice
  • 0.5 oz. St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Roulaison Pot Distilled Rum
  • 1.5 oz. pineapple juice
  • 2.5 oz. sparking rosé
Directions:
Shake all ingredients (except sparking rosé) with ice and strain into champagne flute. Add rosé and give a slight stir.

Le President


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 tsp. orange curaçao
  • 1 barspoon Luxardo Maraschino Cherry syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura Orange bitters
  • 1.5 oz. Dolin Blanc Vermouth
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
Directions:
Stir in mixing glass with ice and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

For Best Results, Drink on Porch


Ingredients:
  • 1 lemon slice, muddled
  • 1 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
  • 1 oz Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 cucumber slices, muddled
Directions:
Muddle 2 cucumber slices and 1 lemon slice in 1/2 oz simple syrup at bottom of copper mug. Stir. Fill glass with ice and top with club soda. Note: For large mugs, use 3 cucumbers, 2 lemons, 3/4 oz simple syrup, 1 1/2 oz rum, and 1 1/2 oz ginger liqueur.

The Porch Reviver


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. cucumber-rosemary simple syrup
  • 0.75 oz. lime juice
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 3 blackberries
  • 4 sprigs of mint
Directions:
Muddle blackberries, mint, and simple syrup in cocktail shaker then add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into glass with ice. Top with club soda and give a quick stir. Garnish with extra ingredients from garden.

Don't Be Basic


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. Lemon juice
  • 1 oz. Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
  • 1 oz. El Guapo Creole (Pecan) Orgeat syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 2 Dashes El Guapo Holiday Pie bitters
  • 2 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 3 Dashes El Guapo Chicory-Pecan bitters
Directions:
Stir in glass with ice and strain. Serve neat (or on the rocks) with a lemon peel.

Broad Street Hurricane


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. Peychaud's Aperitivo
  • 0.5 oz. lime juice
  • 0.5 oz. O.P. Rum
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 1.75 oz. passion fruit juice
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 3 oz. Pineapple Juice
Directions:
Shake all ingredients and serve in hurricane glass. Garnish with fruit of choice.

Mai Tai


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. orange curacao
  • 0.75 oz. Liber & Co. Almond Orgeat Syrup
  • 0.75 oz. lime juice
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 2 dashes El Guapo Polynesian Kiss Bitters
Directions:
Shake all ingredients, strain, and serve over ice.​

Polynesian Jungle Bird


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. lime juice
  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.75 oz. Campari
  • 1.5 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 2 dashes El Guapo Polynesian Kiss Bitters
Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and serve in your favorite tropical drink vessel.

One Night at the Crescent Palm


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. banana flower simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz. lime juice
  • 1.5 oz. Traditional Pot Distilled Rum
  • 3 dashes El Guapo Love Potion no. 9 bitter
  • 3 oz. Toddy Palm Drink
Directions:
Combine in a glass and serve over ice.

Broadmoor


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth
  • 1 barspoon Benedictine
  • 1 oz. Amer Herbal Rum Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Pinhook Rye
  • 4 dashes Amargo Vallet
Directions:
Stir in mixing glass with ice then strain into coupe glass.

Morally Grey


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. float of Fernet Branca
  • 0.25 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz. Cimarron Tequila
  • 0.5 oz. ginger beer
  • 1 oz. Amer Herbal Rum Liqueur
  • 1 oz. lime juice
Directions:
​Combine all ingredients except Fernet in Collins glass with ice and stir. Add float of Fernet and serve.

Final Synonym


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Amer Herbal Rum Liqueur
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon (or lime) juice
  • 1 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
  • 1 oz. St. George Botanivore Gin
Directions:
Shake over ice and serve up or down (just not on the rocks).

Hu Dat


Ingredients:
  • 1 part Amer Herbal Rum Liqueur
  • 2 parts HuHu's Ginger Brew

  • 1 oz. Campari
  • .75 oz. Passion Fruit Syrup
  • .25 oz. Pineapple Gum Syrup
Directions:
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with orange peel and maraschino cherry.
