About Mammoth Distilling

Five minutes from the pristine shores of Torch Lake sits Mammoth Distilling. This Michigan distillery was founded in 2013 by husband and wife team Chad Munger and Tracy Hickman. Gin, vodka, whiskey, bourbon, rum and cherry liqueur round out Mammoth Distilling’s award-winning offerings.

Chad and Tracy founded Mammoth Distilling as their retirement plan. They wanted to lay a foundation in the Torch Lake community, so they could retire in the picturesque town. What better way to be a part of the community than opening a business? Two additional Michigan locations later, they’re an award-winning staple in The Mitten State.

Mammoth Distilling cemented themselves as true Michiganders with the release of their Cherry Bounce. People would come in to Mammoth and tell Chad of their fond memories of their homemade cherry liqueur. A local favorite, it’s made from sour cherries and requires no fermentation or distillation. Put some Cherry Bounce in your cocktail for a little extra bounce in your step.
