Neighboring Mount Sopris in Carbondale, Colorado is an independent distillery trying to save the planet one craft spirit at a time. The family owned and operated Marble Distilling Co. is leading a sustainability charge. Resulting in clean, award-winning craft spirits.

Marble Distilling Co. was founded in 2015 by Connie Baker and her husband Carey Shanks. They set out with the goal of producing exceptional craft spirits with the smallest possible environmental footprint. Shocked by the staggering number of gallons wasted in other distilleries, Marble Distilling Co. devised a process to recapture 100% of the water they use. As a result, they save more than 4 million gallons of water per year.

Marble Distilling Co. utilizes 100% Colorado grains in their award-winning craft spirits. For their filtration process they use Yule marble, collected from the Yule Quarry. This marble, the same used in the Lincoln Memorial, lends creaminess to their craft spirits. All of Marble Distilling’s efforts produce a sip that is green, uncommonly smooth and unmistakably Colorado.
