About Milk Street Distillery
New Jersey’s Sussex County hasn’t had a distillery since the end of prohibition. That changed in 2015 when the Geerhart brothers opened their award-winning distillery in the small New Jersey town of Branchville.
Mike and Gordon Geerhart founded Milk Street Distillery in 2015. Before opening their distillery, they worked as commercial contractors for years. Their decades of experience in construction came in handy when they opened their distillery. The brothers transformed a 125-year-old building into their tasting room and distillery. After Mike and Gordon’s hard work, the doors to Milk Street Distillery opened in 2017.
Milk Street Distillery’s award-winning catalogue of craft spirits includes vodka, rum and a rye spirit. Without being barrel-aged, their Dam Break Grain Spirit hasn’t earned the title of being a rye whiskey. But this rye spirit will earn its place in your home bar. Made from 100% locally grown rye, it’s an uncommonly smooth white whiskey. Each sip of their craft spirits taste like the open air of New Jersey.
