About Port Chilkoot Distillery

People travel from all over the world to Southeast Alaska. They come by ferry, seaplane, or cruise ship, embracing the Yukon to get to Haines, Alaska. There to welcome them is Port Chilkoot Distillery, where they’re beautifully capturing the culture, climate, and landscape of The Last Frontier.

Port Chilkoot Distillery was inspired by the small distilleries on the remote isles of Scotland who share their craft and terroir with the world. Founders Heather Shade and Sean Copeland share a passion for travelling, always sure to sample the region’s local bounty to experience the flavors. They wanted to give travellers to Southeast Alaska the same experience.

Their mission to bottle the true flavor of Alaska began in 2012. From the beginning, Port Chilkoot Distillery teamed with local gardeners and farmers to source fresh herbs and grains. Every small batch of these Alaska-inspired spirits are handcrafted from mash to bottle at the independent distillery. Grab a bottle, it’s worth the trip.
