About Wiggly Bridge Distillery
From hobby, to passion, to profession. That’s the story behind Wiggly Bridge Distillery. Located in York, Maine, this father-son owned and operated craft distillery is named for America’s smallest pedestrian bridge, the ‘Wiggly Bridge.’ They use the bridge as their inspiration, reminding them that bigger isn’t always better.
David and David II Woods founded Wiggly Bridge Distillery in 2013. What started off as a joke during family dinner quickly turned to an award-winning distillery. The Woods family has a history of starting family owned and operated businesses in York. And David has been at the helm of many of them. Behind him, David II had been working in the family business from a young age, absorbing the entrepreneurial, can-do spirit.
With the help of some YouTube tutorials, David II hand-built Wiggly Bridge Distillery’s still. Every dent and angle, accidental or not, contributes to the flavors of their craft spirits. Whisky, bourbon, rum, vodka, gin and agave spirit. Wiggly Bridge Distillery does it all. And they do it in award-winning fashion.
