About Wishkah River Distillery
For most, the muddy banks of the Wishkah River in Washington means kayaking, canoeing and fishing. But for Aberdeen’s Wishkah River Distillery, the river represents generations of hard work. It’s that essence that they distill into every bottle of their award-winning craft spirits.
Josh Mayr and his grandfather had long dreamed of opening a distillery, saying they’d open one named ‘Wishkah River Distillery.’ Imagine Josh’s surprise when he was given a sales lead for a Wishkah River Distillery while working as a radio ad salesman. Josh made the trek to the distillery and became fast friends with the founders. So much so that when they wanted to sell the distillery, they contacted Josh. He became the owner of Wishkah River Distillery in 2012.
To make their award-winning line of craft spirits, Wishkah River Distillery uses Washington State ingredients almost exclusively. Like in their unique Vodka Distilled from honey. Fermenting wildflower honey from across the state, it’s triple-distilled for a vodka rich as honey.
