First, juniper is vapor infused into the spirit. Then, the fresh and floral botanicals like cucumber, citrus and honeysuckle flowers are individually vacuum distilled, then blended into the gin base. Our Story
Located in Durham, North Carolina, Durham Distillery is making award-winning craft spirits that are equal parts art and science. Founded in 2013 by a husband and wife duo, they meld their science backgrounds with time-tested distilling traditions to create a unique line of classic and contemporary craft spirits.
Co-founders and owners Melissa and Lee Katrinicic are scientists by trade. Melissa holds a degree in physics, and Lee holds degrees in chemistry. Just like their spirits, they believe a community needs a balance of arts and sciences to thrive. Durham Distillery is an active supporter of local STEM, musical and performing arts educational programs.
Durham Distillery has three distinct, award-winning craft spirits lines: Conniption Gins, Cucumber Vodka and their Damn Fine Liqueurs. Their Damn Fine Liqueurs are the product of a triangle of local partnerships with Slingshot Coffee Company and Videri Chocolate Factory. These drinkable art concoctions come in coffee, mocha and chocolate varieties. Each sip is Damn Fine and sure to please.
