Straight bourbon must adhere to all the same guidelines that make a bourbon a bourbon. Plus a few extra qualifications that make it even more distinct.
It must be a ‘distinctive product of the United States’ and made with at least 51 percent corn, and then aged in charred oak barrels for at least 2 years.
