Iron Fish Distillery
The Salted Maple Old Fashioned has always been a staple of the Iron Fish Distillery tasting room. In fact, it is so popular that the Michigan distillery started bottling the cocktail. The Double-Barreled Salted Maple Old Fashioned is made with their Bourbon Finished in Maple Syrup Barrels, Aged Aromatic Bitters, and Maple Syrup. Aged in their used bourbon barrels, this is one of the most complex cocktails that will ever grace your glass.

Our Story
Founded in 2016, Iron Fish became Michigan's first farm distillery growing grain, distilling spirits, and barrel finishing sourced whiskey on a farmstead that dates back to 1887. Located along the Betsie River watershed in northern Michigan, the name Iron Fish is inspired by the steelhead trout that make a yearly journey up the river. This environmentally certified working farm and distillery attracts over 100,000 guests annually to enjoy craft spirits, craft cocktails, wood fired pizza, live music, distillery tours, and more. Iron Fish is located in rural Springdale Township in Manistee County, about 40 minutes south of Traverse City, Michigan.
Every step of our soil-to-spirit process, starting in our farm fields where we grow and harvest our own grain to milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling and barrel aging, occurs on site. Iron Fish also sources bourbon for finishing in barrels from around the world. To date, our library of barrel aged spirits exceeds 1,000 barrels, consisting of carefully sourced farm barrel finished whiskies and estate whiskies distilled from grain grown on our farm and from nearby farms.
