Huling Station is where Old Dominick Distillery's story began. Way back in 1866. It was home to the warehouse where D. Canale first sold his bourbon in downtown Memphis. With a mash of 52% corn, 44% rye and 4% malted barley, Old Dominick's Huling Station Bourbon Whiskey is a high-rye bourbon. Made using a type of grass that’s part of the wheat family, and closely related to barley, a rye whiskey is full bodied with spicy, grainy flavors and a drier taste.
Since bourbons require a mash bill consisting of at least 51% corn, to qualify as a rye, bourbon at least 20 percent of that mash bill must consist of savory rye.
