About Freeland Spirits

Portland’s Freeland Spirits was founded in 2017 with a singular mission. From the farmers that grow the grain, to the distillers that turn it into divine drinks, Freeland Spirits is all about celebrating hard-working women across the world with their award-winning craft spirits.

Freeland Spirits’ founder Jill Kuehler named the distillery after her grandmother. Though ‘Meemaw’ never drank, she taught Jill to ignore naysayers. Women can do anything they want. Jill was pushed to open the distillery after a glass of whiskey with her friend Cory, a female beef rancher. Cory told Jill that she’ll grow the grains, if Jill makes the booze.

Just like that, Freeland Spirits set out to create their line of craft spirits. Each of their spirits are distilled by the youngest female master distiller in America, Molly Troupe. Freeland Spirits offers bourbon, gin and geneva. All of their craft spirits have their own little piece of the Pacific Northwest distilled into them.
