In 1877, The Saturday Evening Post declared Kentucky as ‘the home of the Moonshiner.' And now, infamous moonshine Devil John Wright calls Barrel House Distilling Co. home. Their Devil John Dark Shine is made from a mash of corn and cane sugar. But it's the next ten months that makes this moonshine special. The ‘shine spends those months in charred oak barrels once used for bourbon. It's not a moonshine plastered with grainy notes. Instead, it picks up sweet ones usually reserved for bourbons.
