Boot Hill Red Eye Whiskey

Frontiersmen in the 1800s didn't have access to aged whiskies. They stimulated aging using smaller barrels, calling the expedited spirits ‘Red Eye' whiskies. Boot Hill Distillery has recreated the style with their award-winning Red Eye Whiskey. A mash made from yellow corn and wheat grown on their farm is aged in barrels ranging from five to 53 gallons for varying lengths. The barrels are blended into a powerful young whiskey. With notes of vanilla, butterscotch and heavy grains, the frontiersmen would be elated for a glassful of Red Eye Whiskey.
