About Dry Fly Distilling

After years working corporate positions, the team behind Dry Fly Distilling was looking for the opportunity to do something new. Something innovative, artistic, and non-conforming. They were intrigued by the burgeoning craft spirits industry, and in 2017 they opened the doors to Dry Fly Distilling in Spokane, Washington.

Founder Don Poffenroth teamed with fellow veterans of the food and beverage industry when he opened Dry Fly Distilling. Equipped with Washington’s rich bounty of natural ingredients, they believed their spirits could rival the best the world has to offer. More than a decade later with countless awards and medals, it’s safe to say the folks behind Dry Fly were right.

Dry Fly Distilling has always been a farm-to-glass operation, a distinction that was rarer when they first started. They’re always taking chances on new products, like the world’s first 100% Triticale whiskey. The unique grain is a hybrid of wheat and rye that originated in Scotland in the late-1800s.
